Wow. I've been neglecting this space for quite some time, haven't I? I wish I could tell you that it's because I've been busy working (though I have been doing that) or because we've been too busy having fun (though we've been doing that, too). But the truth is that it's because I've been somewhere else and haven't been able to tear myself away...
Facebook.
I know what you're thinking. "But Lisa, don't you hate the very idea of those silly networking sites?" Yes. I know. I did! To me, they were like David and Victoria Beckham: I was profoundly disinterested. I could see how they held some limited amount of appeal, but certainly didn't consider the allure enough to warrant all the hype. And I was really looking forward to the day when their fifteen minutes of fame would draw to a close and the world would get tired of talking about them. Also, hearing the word "friend" used as a verb was really getting on my nerves (though this last bit is not the fault of the Beckhams).
But now? I'm hooked.* I admit it. I'm one of them... Or, if you're as obsessed with Facebook as I am, one of you. The site is just as addictive as people say it is. In the course of one short month, I've found long-lost friends ranging from my best friend in grade school, the boy who taught me to drive a stick shift in high school and my college roommate. And that's just the tip of the iceberg! It's truly been so great to catch up with all of you.
Anyway, thanks to renewed friendships with people I haven't been in touch with for decades, I've been fielding a lot of questions about where we live. So here by popular demand are some interior and exterior pictures of the house and the land.** For those of you who requested these, I hope they won't disappoint. And for those of you who didn't, please feel free to ignore this if you're not interested. But go "friend" me on Facebook either way.
More pictures are at right under "Photos."
*Hooked on Facebook. Not the Beckhams. My feelings about them haven't changed. Yawn.
**Don't imagine for a second that I don't realize how lucky I am to live here. I'm grateful for my good fortune every minute of every day.
Oh, Golly, and just like that I'm addicted, too.
Love your posts, Lisa!!
