[this is good] I love both photographs of her - she is defiant and beautiful, and unbearably brave.  Jackie's spirit is an element as powerful as any you would find in nature.  I wish I could speak with her.


Excellently written, and a sobering story.  When I hear about things like low-level guards beating prisoners, I wonder how anyone can excuse any of the Nazis' actions on the grounds that they were just following orders.  People who made it through all that really are something.
